Dr. Genevieve Griffin

(PT, DPT, GCFP)

Genevieve’s passion is to create conditions for people to be their best self – whether it is for health and wellness or in their work. She was drawn to physical therapy from an undergraduate requirement to do volunteer work with Children. She chose to shadow in the Physical Therapy department at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Erie. That heartfelt experience set the stage for her to pursue a path in PT.

The Feldenkrais Method TM is a large part of her work. Feldenkrais is a learning process that has a profound impact on the nervous system. Pain and movement improve through small movements made with awareness. Genny has extensive post graduate training in Stott Pilates for rehabilitation and Physical Mind mat and apparatus concentration programs. She also has extensive manual therapy, John Barnes myofascial release, cranial sacral, and osteopathic based advanced training.

She’s achieved much in her career having been twice named finalist for the Virginia Women’s Business Conference Stellar Woman Award. In addition, Loudoun Physical Therapy received the most prestigious honor given by the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce – Winning the Small Business of the Year Award, which is the top business award from the Chamber. The previous year Loudoun Physical Therapy won the Service Business of the Year Award.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, visiting family on Lake Erie, yoga, hiking, the outdoors, and spending time with her husband and golden retrievers. She also enjoys cooking international dishes, especially Persian dishes.
