Dr. Genevieve Griffin was originally drawn to physical therapy because it provides a holistic approach to health and wellness. Since 1987, Dr. Griffin provided exceptional care in outpatient, hospital, home health, and manual therapy settings. In 1996, she opened her practice in Leesburg with herself as the only therapist, which has now grown to 2 locations, 5 Physical Therapists, 2 Physical Therapy Assistants, 6 Physical Therapy Technicians, as well as 6 administrative staff members.
Dr. Griffin is Board-Certified in the following: Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, American Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, Feldenkrais Practitioner, and Feldenkrais Guild of North America. She is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling, Pilates Mat & Apparatus, and Private-Practice Management. In addition, Dr. Griffin has advanced training in Pilates for Rehabilitation, Manual Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Craniosacral and Osteopathic Manipulation.
Dr. Griffin is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (Orthopedic, Private Practice, and Women's Health initiatives), Feldenkrais Guild of North America, American Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, Loudoun Senior Interest Network, and the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce and several of its initiatives (Business Women of Loudoun, LeadShare, and the Health & Wellness Committee).
Loudoun Physical Therapy is a member of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce's Healthy Business initiative which means that Dr. Griffin encourages healthy practices and opportunities within Loudoun Physical Therapy for its staff members. She is an active member in numerous professional organizations to include the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, Business Women of Loudoun, Health & Wellness Committee, LeadShare, Loudoun Senior Interest Network, American Physical Therapy Association, Feldenkrais Guild of North America, American Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Dr. Griffin is committed to supporting women and helping them advance their careers. Dr. Griffin provides numerous in-service and training opportunities for her staff members allowing them to further their expertise and skills. Dr. Griffin mentors the staff members, especially the recently-graduated therapists, to encourage and guide them. Many of Loudoun Physical Therapy's technicians go on to apply to physical therapy school to become Physical Therapists themselves.
